Not everyone working with webhelp publishes the output but to use Zoom, it does make the workflow easier. The idea of publishing is to get the output onto a server from which users can access it. If that is the way you work, then you can publish to your local drive and hand over those files instead, it will make no difference to your developers.

In a merged help setup, this will be done under the output from the parent so you will also see the mergedProjects folder. If you have any searches that are specific to a project, then I recommend the results are saved within that project. This is useful if that output will also be used in isolation.
